Happy Wedding Wednesday!
Writing your marriage vows can be a tremendous undertaking to sum up your dreams, love, and promises to your soulmates in a momentary. However, this is your chance to tell your story and give your friends and family a peek into what makes you and your soulmate work.
Traditional Vows
“I (name) take thee, (name), to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, to love and cherish, from this day forward until death do us part. With this ring, I thee wed.”
Custom vows are super intimate, baring your heart and soul to your soulmate, and you are doing it in front of all of your wedding guests.

My husband and I have been married for a little over six years; here are some of the thoughts I wrote down when I wrote my own vows.
- Ruth 1:16 – Where you go, I will go, and where you stay I will stay ….
- The Princess Bride – “Do I love you? My God, if your love were a grain of sand, mine would be a universe of beaches…
- Love is Friendship Set on Fire by Laura Hendricks
- How do I love thee? Elizabeth Barrett Browning
- “Can’t help falling in love” by Elvis Presley.
- Runaway Bride – “look, I guarantee you that there will be tough times.”
- Sense and Sensibility – “the bond of friends is the gateway to true love.”
- Boy meets world: Cory and Topanga.
- The Vow – Paige, and Leo
- you’ve got mail – “I wanted it to be you, I wanted it to be you so badly.”
- Happy by Ayiesha Woods
- Jeremiah 17:7-8
- You know you’re in love when you don’t want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams – Dr. Seuss.
- The Polar Bear King – claim a mountain and save you.
Thru the years, we have watched friends come and go; however, we have always remained. And even in the moments where we didn’t speak for some time, once we did, it always felt like our friendship didn’t even miss a beat. I can’t tell you the particular day when I realized all the love, affection, and attention you were showing was freely given without asking for any of it in return. Over time, you became my reliable source of advice, that one person and only person in my innermost circle, who knows my past, and what makes me tick.
