DAYS OF REMINDERS
Happy Wedding Wednesday! I’ve put together a great set of things to keep in mind on your beautiful wedding day. These tips will set some ground work for me and make sure we get the greatest images possible.
GATHER UP THE DETAILS
If you collect all your details before I arrive, that will give me more time to {Capture} those details and then have more time for getting ready shots of you and your amazing girls.
EXTRAS
Depending on your wedding theme or colors and the overall “feel” of your wedding day, some odds and ends around the house will help add personal details to your images. For example, if you’re having a music themed wedding, pieces of sheet music from your days in band, orchestra, or choir, will make a nice compliment to the details. I’ve brought the St. Louis Arch Paper weight for an elopement that was underneath the St. Louis Arch.
KEEP ALL THREE RINGS
Rings are the most common details that is missing when I arrive! Typically everyone (Moms, officiants and planners) will tell you to hand over your wedding band to the best man before the day begins. It’s actually better to hand it over during the bridal party portraits so that I can shoots some amazing ring shots in the morning!
If you forget, don’t worry! I can always shoot your beautiful rings later during the reception, if there is extra time.
DON’T FORGET THE BOUQUET!
Ideally, almost all portraits featuring the bride after the first look will also include the bouquet. Have the bouquets and boutonnieres brought to the bride before the first look. If it’s hot, we’ll keep the flowers in water as much as possible before the ceremony!
I hope these great day of reminders will help you with your wedding plans. I’m looking forward to sharing more tips with you. Happy Wedding Wednesday!
