Happy Wedding Wednesday!
Four Questions You Should Be Asking Your Wedding Photographer
- How long have you been a photographer?
I have been an official business since 2014, but I started as a landscape photographer in 2005. - Do you have insurance?
Professional Photographers will protect not only themselves but also their clients, should anything happen.
I have liability and general coverage. - What is your Rescheduling Policy?
As an experienced photographer, I have a policy in place for when cancellations happen. Policies indicate that they have experience with different types of situations and have created policies accordingly.
For all portrait sessions, a client can reschedule their session one time, if notified 72 hours in advanced.
For wedding clients, I understand that weddings can be stressful, and be called off. Weddings can be postponed or canceled.
4. The Unspoken Question
Use your gut to judge the photographer’s personality. A photographer’s main job is to capture raw emotions. If your wedding photographer doesn’t mesh well with you and your soulmate, on either the phone or in person, chances are your soulmate and you will not mesh well with them at your wedding day and this awkwardness will show in your images.
I’m very transparent and vulnerable with all my clients, after all, how can I expect to capture raw emotions, if we don’t mesh?
