So in 2017, my husband and I welcomed our firstborn child. Wait you have a child. Why have you not shared any images? Great questions. My husband and I are very private people. We don’t share many personal aspects of our lives on social media.

No not Fifty Shades of Grey! My husband and I didn’t want to know the gender of our child. We loved the idea of a surprise and deciding on two names. I will not reveal our son’s name, but if he was a girl…Amelita Josey … yes, we like unique and older names.
During labor and delivery, which had some complications – not only did we spent six days in the hospital, but we also spent one day in the ER. I love to Capture the beautiful bond between mother and child, so I tried my hardest to breastfeed my child, but he did not have it. All he wanted was the bottle. Okay, that’s fine, all babies are different, but that is not how I felt. I felt like a failure. Don’t get me wrong, I pumped. However, due to the complications, I had during l&d the medications given to me by my OB/GYN which STOPPED my milk production — another failure.
Yes, I know none of this was my fault or my son’s fault. However, that is not how I felt. I finally decided to seek help, which I’m very thankful for Dr. Philips for her support. Due to my change in the situation, my business model and vision has changed. That represents my overall vision better.

I have a super exciting announcement! As you may or may not know, I am entirely rebranding my business and finally making my vision come to life. As part of my rebrand, I have decided to change my business name!
Ah! So exciting to share my new logo and new business name with you.
I have officially changed my business name from “Photos by Stephanie” to “Stephanie April Photography”
Additionally, my website domain will be changing with the new site today! My site will be changing from photosbystephanied.com to stephanieapril.com
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Yes! I was sad when I decided to close my Downtown Forney Studio last year, don’t get me wrong, it was great plus I captured some fantastic newborns. I have moved my studio to my home in Wylie. Don’t worry. I still travel worldwide to capture your elopement or wedding.

With 2019, I have decided that next year on my business fifth anniversary, I will be splitting my company into separate studios. I will be offering the following sessions still:

Collection Changes
What does that mean?
Collections are like packages. Most session (except Wedding and Elopement Collections) fee only covers my time and talent. Don’t worry! My new 2019 pricing guide will be released on March 1, 2019. Plus, I have made my collections more user-friendly to understand with the most popular products. Plus our Bespoke Collection (Create-Your-Own-Collection) will still be offered.
Referral Program
How does that help me? Referral friends and family to our studio. This means – they sign the contract, mention your name, pay their session fee, and do their session.
Once their session is over, you will receive $50 off your session fee. Furthermore, session referrals can be stacked, to where you don’t have to pay for your session fee.

Gift Certificate
Yes! We started this wonderful idea last year for all our soulmates. Offering a way to help soulmates fund their professional photography for their beautiful wedding day. What does that mean? A non-client can purchase gift certificates and be applied towards a current SAP Soulmate’s account. If you are buying a gift certificate to use in the future, gift certificates are only good for one year after the date of purchase.
Yes, it is that easy.
Payment Plans
We offer many types of payment plans that work with almost all budgets.
What does that mean?
Our standard payment plan is 30% down (which locks in your date), 30% is due on the middle date between booking and wedding day, and 40% is due one month before your wedding date. Huh? If you book January 1st and your wedding is not until December 31. That means… 30% is due January 1st, 30% is due by June 31, and 40% is due by November 31.

Monthly – that we divide the number of months to your wedding by your collection price (after non-refundable retainer) Taking the example above (Collection price – retainer) divided by 12.
Our studio’s current favorite payment plan is 30% non-refundable retainer, 30% middle payment, then 10% for four monthly payments. See super easy!
Deals for you! How can it get even better?
For every first wedding booked for each month, will get their collection wedding album upgraded. Your wedding date doesn’t have to be the first one of the month, you just have to be the first to book your wedding.
